What I make, see, write, read, hear and visit

Is a painted diary full of images, free from the self, that records memories and feelings or holds peculiar events. Sometimes a system of pictograms is used, self-found pictograms that are scattered or noted over the story. They are unique and are used over and over in other constellations.
No use of the computer without pictograms. I see it as a language of its own that can be clarified, so that the story is readable and understood.
Very often it is about banal daily events: a walk and what you see with it, a broken roof, plucking out a fruit tree, a disease, pain or fear, a thinking written, noted, drawn in a completely unique language.
The unbiased, childlike and completely unique of the image form a separate series in my work, started in 89 and still persisting. It brings out many aspects of life and views on it.
The works have always been related to my life. This makes them unmistakable. Initially they are large, but from 2000 onwards usually in format 42 x 29 cm.
The events and encounters with my grandchildren form a separate series (book) in it and record their childhood, fixes the relationship with their grandparents.

Keep distance 2020
The corona disguise plays tricks on the artist. Calls are no longer being conducted. There is no question of listening. Her amazement is great at all those disguised figures, one as an astronaut, the others invisible. It is a picture of wonder!

The father of the dead boy 2020
The father of the dead boy 2020
The funeral of a lonely boy next door who took his life through difficult circumstances and corona. The artist is moved by the ritual and the father’s being alone. It is a picture of painful extreme loneliness.
